THE BEAD STRING

The bead string, you the minute cord of unity.
With the simple mechanisms of yours we waited with no anxiety.
Thinking you were going to last till eternity,
You handled us around you with much dexterity.
Socializing us all irrespective of disparity.
Around you we lived in such security.
And in a circular order you brought us to close proximity.
Anytime you shook yourself, we all begin to dance to your ditty.
And when you distorted yourself we all lived in disunity.
Other strings tried to put us together but were all of travesty.
None proved suitable for us like your kind of authenticity.
You were so simple but you had some divinity.

  1. In this piece, the bead string has been personified {God} and seen as a very important object in the lives of the beads{who in this case are humans}.This is as a result of the role it plays by bringing all of the beads together. This is also to lay emphasis of the fact that God brings us all under one umbrella irrespective of religion, race, tribe, rich or poor, sick or healthy. WE ARE ALL ONE IN CHRIST JESUS. AMEN!!!
